Have a blast with the most cute and fun toy factory game!
Meet the goblins, manage the toy factory, build hundreds of toys and make the world a happier place. An original, simplified approach to the crafting genre, with a menu-based user experience and fast content unlocking.
Artistic Approach
Fully in-house developed, Toys & Goblins is a crafting game aimed at a mostly teenage and female audience. Both toys and goblins are elements with a strong presence in our imagination and therefore an easy starting point when defining the artistic direction of the game.
One of the most interesting challenges in a menu-based game aimed at casual gamers was the development of a UX/UI that was attractive and desirable, that incited the click and disguised the austerity of the conceptual approach.
We opted for a cute and playful aesthetic. With a color range inspired by the classics of the fantasy genre –purple and green– and also the world of candy.
With a 2D manufacture but aesthetically close to 3D -quite common in this kind of game’s language- the character design is deliberately cute and full of adorable dazzling behaviours. After all, anyone who plays will have to see these goblins working 24 hours a day and there’s no time to feel sorry for them.
