Artistic Approach

Birthday sketches are a great opportunity to break the game’s guidelines and introduce fan community’s most loved characters in a different context. As character designers, these occasions are very interesting because we can expand their personality and expressiveness, taking them to new fields.

This time we wanted to look for a comedic contrast with the most common image of the two protagonists. The Golem, usually fierce and relentless, can now be seen as a sensitive pastry chef in his spare time, and the Battle Healer, an almost divine warrior is now an adorable prankster.

As for the art, the exceptional occasion of these pieces also allows us to modify the register of the originals and do a slight re-styling, moving from 3D to 2D while giving it a more cartoonish feel.
